Washington Huskies - The Washington Huskies are the athletic teams at the University of Washington. The term properly applies to any sports team at the school.

Herb Washington - Herbert Lee (Herb) Washington (born November 16, 1951 in Belzoni, Mississippi) is a former world-class sprinter tapped by Oakland Athletics owner Charlie Finley in 1974 to become the first (and only) "designated runner" in Major League Baseball history. Despite having vitually no baseball experience, Washington was a member of the Athletics 1974 World Series championship team.

Claudell Washington - Claudell Washington (born August 31, 1954 in Los Angeles, California) is a former right fielder in Major League Baseball who played for the Oakland Athletics (1974-76), Texas Rangers (1977-78), Chicago White Sox (1978-80), New York Mets (1980), Atlanta Braves (1981-86), New York Yankees (1987-88, 1990) and California Angels (1989-90). He batted and threw left handed.

Don Mincher - Donald Ray Mincher (born June 24 1938 in Huntsville, Alabama) is a former first baseman in Major League Baseball with a 13 year career from 1960 to 1972. He played for the Washington Senators (became Twins), Minnesota Twins, California Angels, Seattle Pilots, Oakland Athletics and Washington Senators (became Rangers), Texas Rangers and again the Oakland Athletics, all of the American League.
